The Parachute Experiment
In science class, we tried to make the parachute that could slow down a jumpers fall. First, we tried cutting a bag in half. But we cut the string into four pieces. It was too short to hold our figurine safely. The surface area was pretty small too. The canopy was closed up so it couldn't catch air. So we used another plastic bag. This time, we cut the bag in 3/4. The canopy was bigger and could catch more air. We cut the string into 2 pieces, so they were longer and could hold the figurine without crumpling up the canopy.
